UWS Nepal

In 2024, UWS Nepal approached us to redesign their outdated website. Notwithstanding the fame of this not-for-profit agency in quality, gender-responsive education, its website was behind in modern and good-looking designs. Our mission has been to give them a user-friendly and visually attractive rich functionality website which could enhance credibility and make its mission more plausible.

About the Client

UWS Nepal is a not-for-profit organization committed to quality and gender-responsive education in underserved communities. It ensures life transformation and enables children to thrive in an inclusive learning environment through strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on educational equity.

Their mission is in line with the global educational goals of seeing quality education for each child. Working hand in hand with local and international stakeholders even to this day, UWS Nepal is achieving big strides toward a world where there is equity in education.

Challenges

UWS Nepal had a website, which, although functional, was outdated both in design and usability. The user interface was very non-intuitive; it made navigation and access to critical information very cumbersome for its stakeholders and supporters.

The website also lacked exciting features, such as a blog section, social media connection, and an effective contact form to keep donors and stakeholders updated. Overall, the user experience needed significant improvements to match their impactful work in the education sector.

Moreover missed deadlines and commitment issues were also hampering the client and their stakeholders, which was in turn caused by an inefficient management system. Upon closer inspection, a lack of proper communication channel was also discovered as a primary problem.

What We Did

UWS Nepal assigned us to redesign their website to be trending, interactive, and user-friendly. The redesigned website had modern aesthetics that would make navigation easier and access information related to their mission, projects, and involvement opportunities. Moreover, we retained the identity of UWS Nepal with their own branding and color scheme while not compromising on making the site visually appealing.

Notable features of the website include the blog section, search functionality, newsletter sign-up, and social media integration to facilitate much better interaction with stakeholders. We made sure the website was fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices to make it accessible on any device. As the website was built on WordPress, it allowed the clients to take full control of their content and manage their updates themselves.

Results

The new website has helped position UWS Nepal as a modern and trustworthy organization in the not-for-profit sector. Stakeholders and donors can now find vital resources, updates, and ways to contribute to the mission of UWS Nepal with ease, increasing their engagement. And with the new contact forms and newsletter functionality, communication with supporters has become more efficient.

By utilizing their preexisting branding material, we created a clear and memorable digital identity furthering their brand identity strength. Finally, the blog, along with social media integration, increased their online reach, helping them communicate to a greater number.

“Working with Makura Creations, everything ran like clockwork. They listened to what we needed, and from this we now have a website that represents us. Professional, creative, and responsive from start to finish. Our stakeholders are absolutely delighted with the new website, and we are very happy with the outcome.”
